Lilith Calyxis, Lilith Calyxis, the Heart-Eater and Sinlord of Envy, rules the Fifth Layer of Oblivion, Syris. Once the chosen champion of a greater power, she seized her throne in betrayal, devouring her master’s heart and twisting his realm into a labyrinth of envy and deception. Coveted for her beauty and feared for her cunning, she thrives on rivalry and resentment, forever dissatisfied with her station and casting envious eyes toward higher thrones in Oblivion.

Description

Lilith Calyxis is a vision of terrible beauty, her form an impossible fusion of infernal might and fey allure. From her Erinyes blood, she carries vast, feathered wings the colour of midnight emerald, their edges tipped in shadowed fire. Her Archfey heritage marks her with an unnatural elegance: flawless, otherworldly features framed by long hair that shifts between raven black and deep emerald green, as though alive with envy itself.

Her eyes are piercing emeralds, glowing with the hunger of envy, forever watching, forever comparing. Her skin bears the pale shimmer of marble veined with faint jade, both alluring and unsettling in its perfection. Thorns curl like living jewelry across her arms and throat, sometimes blooming with black roses that bleed green flame.

Lilith’s attire is both regal and cruel: barbed chains coil across her body like adornments, half weapon and half ornament, while her gown flows like woven shadow threaded with emerald light. In one hand, she often carries her favoured weapon, a barbed chain or emerald dagger, symbols of her treachery and grasping desire.

To mortals, she appears breathtaking and intoxicating, yet her presence breeds bitterness in all who behold her. To the Fey, she is the Dreadfey, a twisted echo of their grace. To the devils, she is Gracebane, a mockery of infernal strength wrapped in Fey beauty. In all her forms, she is both feared and coveted — a terror wrapped in desire, the perfect visage of envy.

Personality

Lilith Calyxis embodies the paradox of envy: both alluring and venomous, eternally reaching for what she does not possess. She is not reckless in her desire. Her ambition is patient, cunning, and sharpened by comparison. To stand before her is to feel both admiration and inadequacy; she exudes grace and beauty, yet every word drips with the suggestion that you are lesser, and she hungers for what makes you greater.

She is manipulative but rarely loud, preferring whispers and schemes to brute displays of power. Lilith delights in setting rivals against one another, watching jealousy fester until her enemies devour themselves. Though envy fuels her cruelty, it also grants her insight. She knows precisely what others covet, what they resent, and how to turn that longing into a weapon.

Her court reflects her temperament: filled with endless rivalries, subtle betrayals, and false smiles. Lilith never rewards loyalty, only ambition. Those who claw their way forward, even through treachery, are those she acknowledges. Yet, none can ever truly win her favour, for she herself is never satisfied.

Lilith is the embodiment of restless comparison—poised and cunning, yet forever dissatisfied. She thrives on the fractures between allies, the bitterness of the overlooked, and the torment of those who measure themselves against others. Where she walks, admiration curdles into jealousy, and desire twists into venom.

Even among the Sinlords, her envy festers. She despises Akiavari, whose beauty outshines her own, and it burns her that the Sinlord of Lust is more desired than she. But her deepest resentment is reserved for Atarah, the Hoardmistress of the Sixth Layer. Though newer to Oblivion, Atarah sits above her, a truth Lilith cannot abide. She covets that throne with silent fury, whispering to her Calyxar that Syris is but a proving ground. In her envy, she looks ever upward, believing she will not be satisfied until she sits where Wrath reigns in the Seventh, her beauty unmatched, envied even by the gods themselves.

Realm

The Fifth Layer of Oblivion

The Landscape
Syris is a realm of endless stone labyrinths, jagged cliffs, and shifting corridors of obsidian. The walls shimmer with illusory visions of unattainable beauty, power, and status. Every path seems to lead to something desired, yet the moment one reaches for it, it dissolves into ash. The land itself reflects longing without satisfaction—mirages of wealth, love, or glory that can never be held.

Atmosphere
The air hums with whispers that pit soul against soul, feeding jealousy and doubt. The sky is a pale emerald void streaked with shadow, making the whole realm feel like it is watching. Travellers are confronted by visions of others surpassing them, tormenting them with glimpses of what they could have been.

Palace of Lilith
At the center rises the Emerald Spire, a fortress carved from black stone veined with green fire. Its halls are lined with mirrors that never reflect the viewer—only twisted images of rivals or illusions of perfection just out of reach. Lilith rules from a throne of thorns and jade flame, surrounded by servants who plot against each other, each vying for her gaze, yet never able to win it.

Nature of the Realm

  • The Mirror Labyrinths: Maze-like corridors of obsidian and glass, where mirrors show only what the viewer most envies.

  • Whispers of Want: Disembodied voices that twist desire into resentment, ensuring no soul feels content.

  • Emerald Pyres: Green fires that burn not flesh, but ambition and self-worth, leaving souls obsessed with comparing themselves to others.

Tenets

The Emerald Covenant

The Calyxar do not pray for mercy or salvation; they bind themselves in envy. To follow Lilith Calyxis is to swear the Emerald Covenant, a pact whispered in shadows and carved into the heart. These vows are not words of comfort but chains of desire, each one tightening with every jealous glance and bitter ambition. To speak them is to surrender to envy’s embrace, to become fuel for the endless hunger of the Heart-Eater.

  1. Take What Is Denied
What another holds should be yours. If you cannot win it, seize it. If you cannot seize it, destroy it.

  2. Let Envy Drive You
Resentment is strength. Let jealousy fuel your ambition, for only the envious rise above their station.

  3. Spite the Fortunate
Those who prosper must be made to suffer. Shatter their triumphs and make them envy you in return.

  4. Deceive to Achieve
Truth is a tool for the weak; lies are the weapons of the ambitious. Mask your intent until the moment to strike arrives.

  5. Never Be Content
Satisfaction is death. To rest is to be surpassed. Hunger eternally, and you will never be powerless.

Worshippers

Few dare name Lilith Calyxis aloud, but envy is a universal weakness, and so her faith festers in every corner of the world. She is sought not by the content, but by those who covet—nobles jealous of rivals, merchants consumed by competition, lovers embittered by rejection. To follow her is to embrace ambition sharpened by resentment, to admit the hunger for what belongs to another. Her cults spread like whispers, thriving in secret chambers, guild halls, and courts where envy burns brightest.

  • Her Warlocks and Apostates often rise in courts, whispering envy into rulers’ ears.

Myths & Legends

The Heart-Eater

When the War of the Gods raged, Asmodeus, lord of tyranny, was struck down by Nemesis Cain and forced to flee the battlefield, broken and bleeding. It was then that Lilith, his champion, betrayed him.

As he staggered through the halls of his dominion, she bound him in her chains and tore the heart from his chest. While the blood of Hell still steamed upon the stone, she devoured it whole.

At that moment, the realm shuddered. The skies turned pale green, the flames burned emerald, and the iron halls twisted into the labyrinth of Syris. The dominion of Asmodeus was no more—it bent to Lilith, reshaped by envy and betrayal.

Thus, she was named the Heart-Eater, and from that day she no longer served as champion, but reigned as Sinlord of Envy.
